Recently, Kelso-Burnett Co. completed the three-story, 63,000 square-foot build-out of Packaging Corporation of America’s corporate headquarters. The Kelso-Burnett team, consisting of 14 electricians during the peak of construction, added an expansive Data Center on the first floor and added offices on the second and third floors. Due to Packaging Corporation of America’s strong commitment to improving sustainability and energy management, the K-B team replaced over 250 Mercury-Vapor lights that sat on twenty-foot poles in the parking lot with new efficient LED lighting.
Overall, the entire project took 4,500 man-hours to complete within a three-month schedule. The short project delivery schedule produced extreme challenges and commitments from all of the trades involved, but the project was delivered on schedule and under budget.
